Covenant of the Sacred Moon (a.k.a. C.O.S.M.) is a
non-profit Wiccan Temple, initially established in the Spring of 1994
and receiving non-profit status in the Summer of 2001. Our spiritual
teaching is based upon the fundamental right of the individual to craft
his or her own personal path to the Divine. As a community-based temple,
we are a group of individuals and covens who come together to assist
each other in our work to achieve this path, building the knowledge to
do so with both grace and dignity.
The goal of our Tradition is to assist each other with finding and utilizing, our individual and personal empowerment. We do not seek power over others, and, although our core foundations are crafted and taught utilizing High Magick Ceremony and formulae, once the basic building blocks to ceremonial magick have been learned (via a year-long apprenticeship and curriculum) , we then assist the individual with exploring and manifesting their own personal system of magick and respect the individual's choice to do so.
C.O.S.M. sponsors several Sabbat and Esbat rituals throughout the year, primarily in the Solano County region of Northern California, which are open to members of the organization and our invitees. A number of our gatherings are also family/children friendly.
We are very open to interfacing and working with other local traditions and organizations, and our apprentices are not considered fully educated until they learn about the other religious traditions (Pagan, Heathen, or otherwise) available to them in the area.
COSM does not discriminate based upon race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, or past religious creeds.
